The OTHM Level 4 Certificate in Leading the Internal Quality Assurance of Assessment Processes and Practice is designed to develop learners’ understanding of the theory and practice related to their quality assurance role in education. Course requirements

OTHM does not specify fixed entry requirements for this qualification, but centres must ensure learners are recruited appropriately and have the capability to meet the learning and assessment requirements.

  • Learners must be aged 18 or above

  • Learners must have sufficient capability for study and assessment in English, with evidence of English language competency where required

Assessments

All units are internally assessed by the centre and externally verified by OTHM. The qualification is criterion referenced and learners must achieve all learning outcomes and assessment criteria for a pass.

  • Centre-assessed coursework and portfolio of evidence

  • Essay or case study for the knowledge-based unit

  • Reflective account, observation of performance, work products and witness testimony for the practical IQA unit

  • Reports such as work plans, project plans, meeting minutes, appraisals or KPI reviews for the leadership unit

Successful completion of this qualification can support learners to progress academically and professionally within education, training and quality assurance.
