The OTHM Level 4 Certificate in Equality, Diversity and Inclusion is designed to help learners develop the knowledge and understanding needed to effectively promote and review equality, diversity, and inclusive practice in a learning environment. This qualification is suitable for learners and professionals who want to strengthen their knowledge and practice in equality, diversity, inclusion, and inclusive learning environments.

  • Learners aged 19 and above

  • Teachers, trainers, and tutors working in learning environments

  • Professionals involved in learner support or inclusive practice

  • Individuals seeking to improve equality and diversity practice in education or training

  • Learners with a Level 3 qualification in their own area of specialism

  • Mature learners with relevant management experience

Course requirements

Applicants are typically expected to meet OTHM entry requirements before joining the programme. Learners who are not from a majority English-speaking country must also provide evidence of English language competency.

  • Being 19 years old or older at the beginning of the course, with minimum core literacy, language, numeracy, and ICT skills, and a minimum Level 3 qualification in their own area of specialism

  • Mature learners over 21 with relevant management experience may also be considered, subject to the delivery centre’s requirements

Assessments

All units are assessed through coursework. Assessment is criterion referenced, internally quality assured by the centre, and externally verified by OTHM to confirm achievement of all learning outcomes and assessment criteria.
